Research interest / experience:

  • Mark has published 18 scientific papers and presented over 30 times at international meetings.
  • He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Ophthalmology and continues to play an active role in research.
  • His research interests include looking at the early detection of glaucoma, and uveitis.
  • He is also a peer reviewer for several leading research journals.
  • Advanced training in cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital
  • Expertise in Medical retina fellowship in uveitis at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Won national scholarship to undertake clinical training in glaucoma at Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, Los Angeles.
  • In this time undertook postdoctoral research in techniques to identify visual field progression in glaucoma.
