- Offering treatments to slow worsening of short-sightedness (myopia) in children - atropine, contact lenses
- Principal investigator on several clinical trials of interventions to slow myopia progression in children
- Laboratory research into eye growth and myopia development in children
- Principal investigator on clinical trials of new treatments for amblyopia ("lazy eye")
- New vision tests for children, including children with complex needs
- Involving children and young people in designing and running research projects
