Research interest / experience:

  • Offering treatments to slow worsening of short-sightedness (myopia) in children - atropine, contact lenses
  • Principal investigator on several clinical trials of interventions to slow myopia progression in children
  • Laboratory research into eye growth and myopia development in children
  • Principal investigator on clinical trials of new treatments for amblyopia ("lazy eye")
  • New vision tests for children, including children with complex needs
  • Involving children and young people in designing and running research projects
