At Moorfields Private, your laser eye surgery cost will depend on your prescription, the type of treatment you are having, and the consultant you choose. You can always rest assured that you will receive the highest quality of care from world-class surgeons using the most advanced refractive laser equipment available.

  • It may be more affordable than you realise to get laser eye surgery from the highly experienced surgeons at Moorfields Private. Fees for your initial consultation start from £150.

    Once you have agreed a personalised plan with your consultant, the full costs of onward treatment can be confirmed. As a guide, the cost for both eyes will be from £4,300, which includes your consultant’s professional fees. Costs do vary based on a number of factors.

  • Following your initial consultation, you will receive a quote for the full cost of your treatment at Moorfields Private. Here are some common factors that can affect the price of your laser eye surgery;

  • Laser eye surgery costs usually include post operative consultations and take- home medication. However, if you wish to see your consultant outside of the covered treatment plan, there may be additional charges which will be advised by your consultant’s practice manager.

  • Moorfields Private offers a finance scheme for laser eye surgery, with interest free payment plans available. More information is available from your chosen consultant’s practice team.

  • Laser eye surgery is not available on the NHS for conditions such as short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism. This is because these conditions can be treated through other methods, for example contact lenses and glasses.

  • Laser eye surgery for conditions such as short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism is not covered by medical insurance.
