My MD thesis focused on glaucoma in a Nigerian population and the interaction with River Blindness. I have published and presented extensively on telemedicine and advise in this subject. I am on several boards, this includes the Community Eye Health Journal, a publication that reaches those with no other continuing medical information globally.

My research is directed towards prevention of glaucoma blindness globally as a component of the Vision 2020 initiative. I have projects in the UK looking at improved case detection and public awareness and in Africa looking at improved surgical outcome, case detection and advocacy. My clinical work is focused on complex glaucoma management.
