Flexible ways to access our services
A complete schedule of Moorfields Private’s fees is available from our business office, who will be happy to answer any questions you may have about insurance cover or payment methods.
Insurance
Moorfields Private's charges are recoverable under most standard UK health insurance policies. However, you should always check that any benefits are sufficient to meet the anticipated cost of treatment before you are admitted.
Non-insured patients
We are happy to treat patients who do not have health insurance. If you are not covered by a health insurance scheme, you will be asked to pay the full anticipated cost of your treatment in advance. Any additional charges must then be paid within 28 days.
The hospital charge does not include the professional fees of the consultant or anaesthetist responsible for your treatment. These charges will be invoiced directly by them, or by the hospital on their behalf.
Outpatients
All outpatients charges are payable on the day. We accept credit cards, cheques or cash.
Inpatients
You
will be asked to pay a deposit to cover the expected cost of your
procedure on admission. This can be settled by cash, credit card or by
Building society cheque payable to Moorfields Eye Hospital. Payment by
personal cheques are accepted but must be received 10 days prior to
your admission date in order for the funds to clear.
If your admission date falls on a Saturday, cash or credit card payments must be made by midday on the Friday before.
